I’m an author and small business owner looking for a virtual assistant (VA). I’ve had the same VA for the last five years; she started out as a VA who was an independent contractor, and after a year or two, became a full-time employee with benefits and a 401K. Though I’m looking for a VA at present, it’s possible that, if you’re the right person, you’d hopefully have a similar trajectory. 

The job is beginning at 4-6 hours each week at $30/hour. You would record your tasks for the week and then send me an invoice once a month (twice a month is also OK, depending on your needs). 

Characteristics that I’m seeking in a VA include:

• Kindness and friendliness being primary traits
• A familiarity with my work (it helps if you’ve been following me for at least a few years)
• Attention to detail
• Excellent at meeting deadlines
• Does not let things slip through the cracks

Skills that I’m seeking in a VA include:

• Extremely organized
• Excellent writer
• Good at creating systems in Notion
• Familiar with and a “power user” of Notion
• Strong customer service skills are imperative
• Strong at writing professional yet warm emails
• Good at summarizing tasks that I give you verbally
• Excellent at taking notes and summarization

This is a remote job; I hope to give someone a job that allows for flexibility for a disabled or chronically ill VA. It is helpful, but not required, for you to also be on Pacific Time and/or are an early riser, as I wake up at around 4 AM and end work at 2 or 3 PM PT.
