Encouragement Notes 2021

Encouragement Notes 2021

Encouraging notes throughout December 2021

Could you use some encouragement?

Years ago, I created the inaugural Encouragement Notes. I was going through a weird time in my life; I knew that I could use encouragment, and I thought that other people might be able to use some encouraging words in their inbox.

After that first series of Encouragement Notes, I curated the best of that month of notes and left the Notes available on my website so that people could sign up for them any time. Those notes have reached thousands of people in the last few years.

I think it’s time for another series of Encouragement Notes. You know: the 2021 edition.

If you’d like a December of free Encouragement Notes, sign up at this form.

I’ll see you in the inbox.

“Encouragement Notes have created a supportive community atmosphere that is absent in so many online groups I’ve been a part of. It’s as if I’ve traveled a long way to finally find rest. I feel genuinely encouraged by the notes and inspired by fellow group members and their personal experiences. Much love and gratitude to you, Esmé!”

—Brandy D.

“I love how Encouragement Notes reminds me of the good in everything, big or small, in our lives. I am currently going through a rough time in my life and this is something I really look forward to when I open my inbox. It does help bolster the spirit and remind us that life is beautiful, in spite of the struggles we all face.”

—Anna C.

“Thank you, Esmé, for the Encouragement Notes. They really seemed to hit the spot for honoring the difficulties I’m currently experiencing, while lifting up my heart and helping me to appreciate my strengths and gifts. When there’s so much ‘over-the-top, be super-positive all the time’ stuff floating around on the internet, it was refreshing to find the kind of encouragement that actually helps—feels very genuine and grounded. I definitely recommend them to others, and hope to enjoy more of these in the future.”

—S. Banks

“The Encouragement Notes have been a blessing. They began a week after my very active 85-year-old mother had a stroke. It has been a roller coaster physically and spiritually. The notes lifted me up when I really needed it. The group overall was so supportive and loving.”

—Diana A.

“I love the simplicity and the honesty the Encouragement Notes provide… The Encouragement Notes isn’t another cluster in your email; it’s that small lift every single person going through life needs to read and say and adhere to.”

—Jade Ivy Bridges

“The Encouragement Notes have helped me so much. Going through a very rough year, they gave me inspiration, hope and love. They will make anyone feel less alone. I have saved all of them and read them many times. A wonderful gift from Esmé.”

—Sheila B.

“Esmé’s Encouragement Notes were a balm for my heart and the dark corners of my mind that tell me I am all alone. Her vulnerability, honesty and strength brought light to the stormy and emotional days of December. What a gift it was to receive a note each day to remind me that we are all in this wild, harrowing and beautiful life together!”

—Jeanette E.
